Frequently Asked Questions
What style of yoga do you teach - How experienced are you?
I started practicing forty years ago and taught my first class 36 years ago. I have yet to come with a name for what I teach and do not adhere to styles or branding. To paraphrase Laozi, "A yoga that has a a name is not Yoga". And Yoga is ultimately an individual experience. My work is a system based on a meta-model integrating Western, Chinese and Indian concepts of health and wellbeing. More on these questions in the section Yoga.
I am new to yoga, are these classes for beginners?
If you are cleared by a doctor to do exercise then you can do yoga. Yoga is low impact and poses can be modified to fit all fitness levels, so yoga is good for almost everyone. Our classes are conducted in the spirit of Wellness and protection of anatomical structures and physiological functions. As such, all classes are open to all levels: We are all beginners.
